PROJECTS
Holychrome

The Holy Chrome project started with a trend analysis on the theme of crafting heritage, which identified three main drivers and led to the discovery of a macro trend called crossbreeding. From this trend, I developed three design directions and created Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) boards, supported by market research. The final direction chosen was dripping chrome gore.

This direction combined elements of futurism with an unconventional edge, turning chunky metals into an expressive and bold design. Taking inspiration from a monster core aesthetic, we played with the idea of melting and sticky textures, using elements that might usually seem messy or unrefined. This approach aimed to challenge traditional ideas of beauty by embracing raw, imperfect qualities. The end result was a physical CMF piece called chrome jesus, capturing this mix of futuristic and rough elements.
