This project used AI to reimagine the wheelchair, combining two attitudes: rebel and engaged. Inspired by the female uterus, the design brings together softness and strength to create an inclusive and empowering mobility aid.
The engaged side represents care and inclusivity. Its forms are soft and fluid, starting as womb-like structures that evolve into airy, iridescent shapes. These eventually transform into protective chairs, embracing the nurturing and safe qualities often associated with femininity. The rebel side draws from the raw power of lava and steel, combining roughness and fluidity. Volcanic landscapes and molten materials inspire dramatic, amorphic forms. These shapes embody resilience and strength while maintaining an organic connection to the feminine body.
The final design blends these opposites into a single wheelchair. It is strong yet soft, futuristic yet deeply human. Its dynamic form allows for elegant, comfortable movement while representing empowerment, protection, and adaptability.
